Condensed Calendar for 2015-2016 School Year


We are PROUD DRAGONS! dragons

Before break we celebrated Academics, Athletics and Altruism at SRES! Grades 4-8 came together to recognize the following accomplishments:

Corky Plews for 20 years of service as an outstanding basketball coach and mentor to SRES students!

We the People (fourth in state and Unit 1 received the State Unit Award)

DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) winners: Abby George and Caroline Sagebiel

Latin Awards from state convention

Yearbook accomplishments including the winner of the cover: Courtney Schultz

National French Contest accompishments for grade 6 including 6 students moving to round two of the contest

American Mathematics Competition including 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners: Karina Bohyer, Ella Sloan, Caroline, Potts, Madeline Godbey, Rori Kipfer, Elissa Hage, Gabe Cooney, Abby Thomas, Alex Potts, and Maggie Pebworth

Indiana State Music Association Contest including 1st place from the following: Ben Egger-Torke, Liam Kelly, George Walton, and Audrey Wang

Grade 6 Science Bowl Team placing 6th in the state: Carols Valdez, Ben Egger-Torke, Daniel Melbert, Jade Thomas, Abby George, Liam Kelly, Ella Sloan, Wesley Rhoades

Science Fair Winners: Weston Williams, Macy Jones, Alicia Zelmanovitz

Spelling Bee School Representative: Theryn Gray

Athletics: Co-ed soccer grades 7 and 8 IISL tournament and league champs, grades 5/6 and 7/8 IISL tournament and league champs, volleyball grades 7/8 tournament champs, cross country grades 6-8 runner-up in league tournament with Will Rose winning the entire meet  

SRES Givers many accomplishments including service projects for the following organizations: Joy's House, Gleaner's, Horizons, MidNorth Food Pantry, and many more!

Grade 4 marched in the St. Patrick's Day Parade
