Planned gifts
Become a charter member of the St. Richard's Episcopal School Legacy Society by making a planned or estate gift. Planned or deferred gifts are another way to make a gift to St. Richard's Episcopal School while meeting the long-term needs of your estate planning. This option is especially attractive for individuals holding highly appreciated assets that have become troublesome to divest because of capital gains taxes incurred upon selling. Did you know that making a planned gift to a charitable organization could provide you and/or a loved one with an income stream for life? Contributions can take the form of cash, securities, property, real estate, IRA accounts, retirement accounts, or life insurance. St. Richard's has a complete planned giving program and we invite you to talk to us about how to make a planned gift to our school meet your charitable intentions as well as work for you. Gifts can be made through the following vehicles:

Will bequests
Charitable annuity or remainder trusts
Charitable lead trusts

Gifts of stock (or appreciated securities)
If you own securities or other capital assets that have appreciated in value, transferring this asset to St. Richard's Episcopal School can result in a significant tax savings, as well as meet your charitable goals. If you plan on making this type of gift, here is what you need to do:
