Grade 3 Early American Living History Museum

On the morning of Friday, November 11, the third grade at St. Richard’s Episcopal School brought early American history to life. Stationed throughout the school, the students of grade three donned period attire and gave speeches as their chosen character in the early history of the United States.
The students portrayed Founding Fathers such as George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, heroes of the American frontier such as Daniel Boone, David Crockett and Johnny Appleseed, Trailblazing explorers like Lewis Meriwether, William Clark and their guide Sacagawea, and famous Native Americans such as Pocahontas and Tecumseh, among others.
The students, faculty, parents and friends were delighted by the historical insights and active depictions of historical figures offered by the members of grade three. Special thank you to all the parents who helped with costumes and practiced the speeches with the students at home.
