Math and Science Night an "Explosive" Success!
Parents, students and teachers all showed up in force to enjoy the third annual St. Richard's Episcopal School Math & Science Night on Wednesday, February 15.

Attendance at the event set a record, with over 230 students, parents and community members joining in the educational fun--including several first time attendees. Throughout the night, families attended three different math and science stations located around the schools. The Parent Organization also treated guests to a chili dinner in the Dragon Cafe.

Science demonstrations included a chemistry lesson (the picture at the top of the post) presented by volunteers from Lilly in the gym and a hands-on DNA investigation from the IUPUI Biology and Chemistry Club in the Middle Division Science Lab. Besides holding the chili dinner, the Dragon Cafe played host to a math activity with estimation jars.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped organize the event and ensure that the evening ran smoothly.
