Story Time at St. Richard's
Wednesday, December 11, 10:00 AM: St. Richard’s Episcopal School presents the second installment of our Early Childhood reading event series! This time around, our Pre-Kindergarten students will join author, photographer, and proud mom Carrie Van Alstine in reading her interactive and informative book, “Frizzy Izzy, Yelp!” In this story, a cat by the name of Frizzy Izzy helps Koda, a gray wolf, to make peace with his neighbor animals. Sprinkled with lessons in zoology, horticulture, and geography, this rhythmic story inspires and reminds us to be kind to our world and those we share it with, a great message for young children.
This event is coming up on December 11 at 10 AM and is open to the public! Spread the word to your local family and friends. Indianapolis parents and caregivers are welcome to bring preschool-aged children for a fun opportunity to learn and read along with our Early Childhood students, meet the author, and purchase an autographed copy of the book for only $9! To learn more about the book and our featured author, visit www.frizzyizzy.com

. St. Richard's is participating as a vendor for this year's event. We have many proud students and alumni who are members of this organization at SRES, but the event is not members-only. Spirit Wear/Used Uniform Sale
Our used uniform and spirit wear sale, sponsored by the SRES Parent Organization, will take place on Thursday, December 12! Spirit wear will be sold before and after school and used uniforms just after school. This is a perfect time to get rid of those too-short pants and skirts before Christmas break and buy new SRES spirit wear as a great gift! Please be sure to drop off all lightly worn and clean used uniforms you would like to donate to this sale by the front desk by December 11.
Lessons & Carols
The school community is invited to Trinity's service of Lessons and Carols on Saturday, December 21 at 4:30 pm, featuring the Trinity choir and choristers. Christmas Eve services at Trinity are as follows:
3 pm - A simple, family service especially appropriate for families with young children. We read the Christmas story, sing carols, and celebrate Eucharist. Children assemble a creche scene as part of the service.
5 pm - This service is also designed with families in mind. Trinity choristers sing, and children are invited to hear a godly play Christmas lesson in the Fortune Room during the sermon. We celebrate Eucharist and conclude with candlelight. Child care is available. Incense is not used at this service.
10 pm - We begin with 30 minutes of carols and choir anthems followed by the traditional Christ mass with incense and festive music. We celebrate Eucharist and conclude with candlelight just before midnight. Child care is not available at this service.
