Extended Care, which consists of Before Care and After Care, provides age-appropriate, safe, and convenient care for families that need childcare beyond the regular school day. The Before Care is a supervised gathering with no programmed activities. The After Care program includes large- and small-motor activities, indoor and outdoor games, time for homework, and craft or art activities. The setting provides more inter-age activities and less formal structure than does the academic day. A snack is provided during After Care.

Below is a summary of the hours and fees for Extended Care:

Before Care

Supervisors: Athletic Co-Directors
Hours: 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. in the Gymnasium
Cost: $4.00 per child from 7:00 a.m.-7:45 a.m.
$2.00 per child from 7:30 a.m.-7:45 a.m.

After Care

Supervisor: Director of Childcare
Hours: 3:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in several locations (Any family whose child is not picked up from the gym before the pickup line is closed at 3:30 p.m. is subject to being charged.)
Cost: $5.00 flat rate per day if picked up at or before 4:30 . $9 flat rate per day if picked up at or before 6:00 . Late fees apply after 6:00.

Late fees do apply for children picked up after 6:00 p.m. at the following rates:

6:00 p.m.-6:15 p.m.: $1.00 per minute
6:15 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: $2.00 per minute
6:31 p.m. and later: $5.00 per minute
