Accreditation
As an independent school, St. Richard's is accredited by a 15-state regional accreditation association, ISACS (Independent Schools' Association of the Central States) which carries with it a reciprocal accreditation by the North Central Association' Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. (Independent schools generally do not seek accreditation by the state education board unless such accreditation is needed for athletic participation with public schools. This is to avoid any interference by the state in the operation of the school in areas such as curriculum development and standardized testing.)
