The following Strategic Planning Goals have been established by the Board of Trustees after extensive input from representatives of the entire St. Richard’s School community. The first group represents the top three to five year goals, and the second group relates the five to ten year goals for the School.

Three to Five Year Goals

1. Establish a fully-functioning Foundation Board for endowment growth

2. Acquire land as available in the general area of 32nd to 34th Streets between Illinois and Pennsylvania Streets for strategic campus development.

3. Establish a fully-functioning development program to support the operational program of St. Richard’s School.

4. Establish a strategy for St. Richard’s School to ensure a competitive package of salaries, benefits, training, and professional development for faculty.

5. Launch and continue a capital campaign for endowment, capital construction, and facilities’ renovations.

6. Create “endowed” faculty and administrative positions.


Five to Ten Year Goals

1. Ensure a successful, on-going, and self-sustaining development program.

2. Expand and/or construct state-of-the-art library, media center, and fine arts facilities.

3. Expand athletic program facilities to include a 2nd gymnasium as well as health and human development facilities.

4. Expand and/or construct new science facilities, science rooms, labs, and technology workspace.

5. Continue a “land bank” program as opportunities and funding allow.
